Growing up watching my mom in her garden I always thought that is a hell of a lot of work!
But because of this she taught me that hard work pays off.
Spring is always so exciting to see what has survived our long winters. What new plant I will try that summer to see if I have the “green” thumb my mother and grandmother have/had.
So everyday I take a few minutes to wander around my gardens, pull weeds and just plain enjoy this space I have created for my family and I.
I am also so lucky that I have the time during my day to enjoy the space. I don’t have to run off every morning to a job till 5 pm.
Perks of a home business! 😁
The biggest enjoyment is that my three children watch me working away and all help me plant the garden and get very excited when a flower is about to “pop” open as they say!
Enjoy the sunshine, do what makes you happy, take time for you! 😘
So a few weeks ago a few girlfriends and I headed to the BIG city to enjoy a concert.
We had tonnes of fun and it was a great way to relax before I finished another big project.
The thing that amazed me was that I could actual afford to go! With a young family of 5 on a single income, there are not many opportunities for me to do something for myself.
Along with that, we moms tend to never put ourselves first. But after my husband lovingly convinced me that I needed some time away to recharge I took a look at our books to see if I could.
Shocked to see that since I decided to start investing in my families future a few months ago by starting up a small business I was actual financially able to do so!!
For the first time in a long time I didn’t overanalyze spending money on myself! It was a wonderful feeling.
It was also surprising that I was able to see that my hard work paid off rather quickly!
I wonder what my next adventure will be?!
